I have been away from this site for awhile. Why? Trying to get
well after my horrible uterine infection from the Mirena IUD. Had
surgery 2 weeks ago and I am happy to report that I am feeling ok
this week. I am carefully optimistic. I am so sorry to hear about
your similar experience. I too reported pain and was put off for
a week by my doctor. It took four rounds of Antibiotics and six weeks
of hell before I felt better. I have a new doctor now. He also supports
the use of the Mirena IUD. I had it in my body 5 months before I developed
the infection. I was told it was probably an STD I am 43 and have been
with 2 men since age 17! My husband is faithful. My doctor was very defensive
and more than glad to move my chart for me! I wouldn't recommend the IUD
