Are you ready for this???? Damn Mirena- Damn Doctor!! WARNING!!!!!!

I had my mirena inserted on 2/25/07. I called my (then) DR several times complaining of pain. He said it was my body getting used to the IUD and to just give it time.

On 4/6/07 I was in such pain I could not walk. I was taken to the ER and admitted inpatient for MAJOR PID (non sexually transmitted got it from insertion). I was put on IV Antibiotics for 2 days inpatient, then 2 weeks of oral Antibiotics .

At the time of insertion my tubes were clear, my uterus measured 5 cm. Now my right tube is completely blocked and my uterus is 11 cm (12 week pregnancy size, though not pregnant).

I think I may sue this doctor for negligence. I have now lost my fertility and am facing a possible/probable hysterectomy at 37.

DO NOT GET THE IUD...it's so not worth it!! Tweet
