Re: ALSO! Re: Iodine and aging issues...

I agree 100% - I rarely see anyone drinking enough water (people are flabberghasted when I tell them 'how much' is enough)...and the elderly seem to drink even 'less than less than enough'.

And even if they do, the majority are taking it right out of the faucet...ARGH, fluoride, chorine, etc. Grrr, it's seems we're thwarted every where we turn. It's hard enough to get people to drink enough water...but to get them buy & carry distilled (or buy a distiller or R/O unit) when 'everyone' tells them that the water is safe.

It's definitely a battle.

BUT, the one thing you've got on your side is that almost every person over 60 has a FAR better education than the 'average age'. If you can get these people to read/hear the FACTS, they seem to always make the right decision. Those that lived through the Depression and WWI have a far better understanding of "government' than those that lived in times of peace & plenty. My own elderly relatives have NO problem believing what I can show them to be true...and when I tell them how fluoride got started being added to the water...(because ALCOA aluminum HAD to dispose of toxic waste that would have cost them millions, but instead convinced the government that we NEEDED fluoride, and then they could GAIN millions by selling it, rather than SPEND millions to dispose of it - and that Proctor/Gamble did a study in the 30's showing fluoride to be the WORST toxin in the world, but 6 months later added it to the toothpaste?)...well, these people catch on MIGHTY quick - nod their heads, and mutter something akin to 'greedy busterds ruin the world'.

It's a battle you can win :) Arm yourself with truth and knowledge and blast the victory trumpets!!
