As above, large leaved plants in an ideal world actually feed more thru there leaves than the roots.

The whole modern concept of Acidic Plants is because of the myopia of modern Agrochemists belief that all plants get their nutrients from the roots only. Thus plants that tend to be considered acidic is beause if you fed them only thru their roots they get the proper mineral balance in a slightly acidic solution.

Sounds moel ike a Fusarium wilt though...and i am not familiar with the particular bug infestation...but to try a folair feed add a couple teaspoons of Boric Acid (the acid acts like DMSO for humans)to a jug of water with a half cup of molasses and a seaweed extract.

You can also get Boron into the soil by getting the Boric salts at a an asian market, and adding it to you garden/compost - a little goes a long way.
