Rokybird & Reb32 Re: Amalgam left in Wisdom Tooth-Please help me decide what to do?
Thank you both for your responses.
Reb32 - I was told that both Vivadent and Empress were CERC. Is there a difference? So you would prefer to go for Vivadent (is that CERC?). I wish to know this for any future replacements, I have decided not to go for replacement at the moment, give a couple of weeks to see how I feel and will not chew gum until I return from my trip. I have tried to chew hard stuff on that side and have no pain so there is no point in replacing that filling. I was also surprised that the dentist could not tell me which tooth it was by examining it except to say the lst molar was chipped.
Rokybird and Rev32 - I had been seeing him for at least five years after the
Amalgam removal and he had xrays taken but he never told me I still had
Amalgam left. He only admitted when another dentist told me about it. He also said the other dentist was jealous of him.
Should I insist on him fixing it (i.e. remove the mercury and replace with same filling e.g. Z100A2 by 3M or should I ask him to remove it? Should one remove a tooth if it is working all right even though it is a wisdom tooth? Please help me decide. I was under the impression I had gotten rid of all mercury in my mouth and now this..... My brain is not working well and I do not know who to ask.
Also should I ask him to either fix it or remove it since he has made the mistake and insist on no payment or go to my other dentist who is young and is not a biological dentist?
I am also doing oil pulling and
Lugol's Iodine and I am worried how this mercury will affect these protcols.
Once this wisdom tooth issue is resolved, should I look for another biological dentist?
Thank you so very much.
