Decision to make - To replace or not now and CERC Vita Vivadent or Empress Cad Ivoclar

I have just returned from my dentist and he had to say the following:

My upper left first molar is a bit chipped and it could cause the sensitivity that I am feeling 10 minutes or so after chewing hard gum. He could not find anything else.
If I wanted to replace the filling it would cost $160 for Z100A2 which I presently have or $1,100 ($750 dental fees and $350 lab fees, even though he has the machine in his office) for CERC (his assistant said he uses Empress Cad Ivoclar and Vita Vivadent, all porcelain restorations).

I am going in a 3 weeks time overseas for 5 weeks and am wondering if this tooth is not causing me any pain chewing food or otherwise, if I should have the filling replaced at the present time. This dentist had replaced 11 of my Amalgam filling, including this one (with Z100A 3M) 8 years ago for a total cost of $1,200 and he examined all of them and said all others were doing well. This tooth (26) had onlay composite 2 surface and had cost me $120.00 8 years ago.

Other question is if I need to replace the filling now or in future should I be wise to do the CERC (I am in Canada and my insurance is not that great but if I have to pay I will pay) and if so which one would be better, Empress Cad Ivoclar or Vita Vivadent? I did a google search but could not find its ingredients and am not sure if it contains all the bad metals and or bispeneol. I asked the dentist and he said CERC does not contain it but when he is doing the tooth bispeneol will be in one of its onlay or something but he said it will be in between the tooth, very little amount and will not emit gas. May I have your comments please!!

I asked him if he had not removed all the Amalgam 8 years ago from my wisdom tooth on the left upper side (I only found out from the dentist who is cleaning my teeth at half the price of the dentist who replaced amalgams) and he admitted that he may have missed a bit of Amalgam but it was a small amount and I should not worry about it… Please tell me if I should worry about it or not and if so what should I do, should I have that repalced as well? It would be very expensive and I do not want to touch my tooth if it is not necessary ???? I am also a bit disappointed that he missed the amalgam and did not tell me about it until I found out about it from other dentist. This dentist had been in the business of removing amalgam for more than 12 years in 1999 and is supposed to be very good.

Sorry for the long post but I do need information and assistance, have been out of touch for a long time as far as dental issues are concerned, although I have been oil pulling religiously every day for the last 2 years.

Thank you so very much for your suggestions….. I am in Toronto and if someone has the same type of replacements done at lower costs please feel free to email me.
