My mom was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of lung cancer (I can't remember which one) back in 1999. It was caught very early in a routine chest x-ray and she had one of the lobes of her lung removed. She never went through chemo or radiation and to this day has had no reoccurrence. She is 67 and has had several other health problems, but they are more related I believe to her bad diet and lack of exercise. I can't say I know much about tumor removal but my opinion would be better out then in. My inclination would be to remove what you can and then aggressively start and keep on the regiment you think will do you the best.
