Re: Two years and still clear!
Hmmm... if you didn't have it as a kid maybe that's a good sign it's due to buildup of gunk, and thus fixable!
I have used several methods to
flush my liver . The Standard Issue with the epsom is great, particularly for first timers as the epsom relaxes the bile ducts. It's icky, however. If you do a lot of cleansing you will notice you are chugging some icky potions, but it beats drugs and surgery, eh? :D
I experimented with epsomless flushes for the benefit of my partner who has had heart surgery, as I feel the epsom may be too harsh for him. Go to sensiblehealth.com and read her apple juice protocol, a good one.
Currently I eat a low fat diet for about three days, then no fat the day of the flush. I quit eating around 2pm, but will have fresh juice or a green apple if I feel very hungry.
It is good to do a plain
water enema before proceeding. At bedtime I chug 1/2 c. Hain cold processed walnut oil shaken well with the juice of one lemon plus fresh OJ to make 1/2 cup (total 1 cup oil/juice). I then lie on my right side for at least an hour. After this point you can move all you like as the flush will have taken place.
I use this oil/juice combo as I prefer the taste. On my better flushes I tend to have a bit of reflux, and may even be nauseated. This mixture is easier to deal with for me -- the standard EVOO/grapefruit juice tastes like a Greek milkshake! Not good for me if I am nauseated.
The following day I drink a
quart of water with lemon juice in the morning, and later do a plain water enema. I eat a very light, clean diet all day and all sorts of stuff passes throughout the day on a good flush. Only once have I hit the Mother Lode (very impressive and unbelievable unless you have seen it for yourself), but a flush always yields old bile, small stones and general gunk.
DO go to the
Liver Flush Forum if you haven't and check out the photos the technical types post, and read up on the FAQs. Those folks will definitely support you during your flush!
Be patient. You should flush at 2 week intervals until you flush clean. In my case it took 5-6 flushes, but other people take much more.
I never noticed a change in my skin until the Big Flush, but since then... heaven! Well worth the effort.
Best,
Somer
