Re: Amazing OP -- the depression eradicator
BTDT,
Trapper read an article several months ago about a component of saliva that has been isolated which is actually some sort of opiod, more powerful than painkillers. He put up a post about it which I will try to find and re-post. It seemed to stand that OP generates saliva = saliva contains this element = we all get so jolly when we OP (I believe there is something to this -- I just do not see the same kinds of behaviour on this forum that can exist on other forums...of course, what's correlative is not necessarily due to causality, and maybe it's because we're all pretty chill people to begin with and therefore drawn to the ease of OP, or whatver...).
I have taken: Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Sinequan, Pamelor, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Deseryl, Remeron, Celexa, Elavil -- you name it, if it was made before 1998, I took it for depression. Oil pulling, plus a few other things (non-medication) I do now, are far more effective against the blues than any drugs have ever been. I am not one who will deny the power of those drugs to help some people (I stopped taking them because I finally realized the side effects of my taking them were worse than the
Depression itself -- in my case, they made me a but manic, which is no fun -- and which happens to about 10% of the people who do take them...). I have continued to sink a little in the fall, which OP really helped with last year -- and on a dismally gray day like yesterday, its tremendous power really shows.
I hope everyone has had a super weekend! Will look for that post.
