Re: Deperession is a nasty thing
Let me first let you know something about myself so you know I'm not being condescending or talking off the top of my head. About a year ago, I recovered (I BELIEVE I did) from 51 years of suicidal
Depression (now I'm suicidally happy, old attitudes die hard). I'm in my SELF-ish and arrogant phase (life is for SELF, I'm not reckless or greedy, but living for mySELF).
You were born to do whatever would make life interesting to you (life is YOURS). What other explanation can there be for life? This video competition was a learning experience because if a person doesn't start by making mistakes, they will never be any better than SIMPLY ACCEPTABLE (mediocre). Let me tell you something I've learned from life experience about depressed people (I've never had any therapy or read any books on the subject, I outlived my dysfunctional family). Emotionally depressed (especially LONG TERM depressed) people are depressed because we are conscientious and we are thinkers. We are profound in mind and heart, but we don't know it because we have always listened to what the world says about us because of their EGOtistical jealousy, meaning that many people really have no "substance" (no heart, they are callous idiots that just roll through life without really thinking or caring) and feel that we are an offense to their ego (and conscience because of the things they do). All that they know, think, and believe is what they were TAUGHT in classrooms and books (especially "professionals" have been indoctrinated and are handicapped thinkers). They have no real opinion OF THEIR OWN, they only follow popular opinion from the people who have FASHIONABLE IDEAS (popular opinion). They don't understand the true suffering of humanity (they will care for a puppy seal because it's politically correct and good for their EGO, and then they'll turn around and HATE, cheat, rob you blind, etc.). They are self-righteous, not truly righteous and noble in mind and heart like the depressed person that is smart enough and loving enough to see the true suffering in the world (neither do they have the courage to face their conscience). You can tell them apart from the true-blue people by their constant smiles meant to cover their true intentions. They don't take life (or themselves, it can't be done, there's nothing about them to actually be really serious about) seriously. Get to know yourself and accept yourself for who you are. Know who you are and BE who you are. You'll never heal from
Depression until you can say to yourself "I am who I am" (
Depression is an identity crisis).
You will make good, profound films some day. Don't rush it, first things first (HEAL yourSELF). Be glad that you have the opportunity to learn from your mistakes (others don't learn, they only know how to feel shame,...because that's what they CAUSE others to feel, POETIC JUSTICE) and hone your skills, because we know how to learn.
People will always resent us if they are less than noble and righteous.
