Congratulations Man! That is quite an amazing feat and certainly something to be very proud of. I am not an alcoholic but I have two brothers in recovery. One is a recovering heroin addict and the other a pill and alcohol addict. Needless to say my brother who was addicted to heroin is very lucky to be alive. He came close to death a number of times. I had the unfortunate experience of spending a weekend with him while he was going through cold turkey. Definitely not recommended. Both are big believers in the program and attend meetings when they can. The recovering heroin addict went on to get a masters and is now a counselor for an outfit in New Orleans called Covenant House that houses disadvantaged kids, some with substance abuse problems. I am of the opinion that you find what works for you and do it - different strokes for different folks, although chugging my own whizz does not rate high on my list of potential cures of anything, although I am sure it probably gives you a pretty good case of bad breath!!LOL Tweet
