Re: Vomiting on Fish.

Over the last 2 years I have eaten seafish on 3 different occasions. I have gotten ill each time getting more severe. (ill equates to throwing up). I am totally afraid of even trying fish anymore. I recently bought some Omega-3 fish oil thinking that it isnt much. I just came off the Master-Cleanse and started taking the oil. Huge mistake. I thought I was going to die. Has taken me 1 full day to recover.
Prior to these episodes, I never had a problem. What gives?

Were there different fish? With scales? With a shell? Would the fish be considered kosher? Caught near shoreline?

When you took the Omega-3 fish oil, did you consume any other foods containing fat? Did your stomach have a 'buffer' layer of food before consuming the fish oil?

Consumption Advisories: Fish to Avoid. The fish listed below should be eaten in limited quantities or not at all because of contamination...

http://www.allergicchild.com/shellfish_allergy.htm
Stay away from all shelled fish: crab, lobster, shrimp and snails.
Also mollusks (clams and oysters) should be avoided.
Your allergist should be able to provide you with a complete listing of ingredients that may indicate shellfish and/or fish protein. There are always new products being created with newly processed ingredient names. If you don’t know the exact nature of the ingredient, don’t eat it!
Other food items that contain fish:
* Worcestershire sauce
* Marinara sauce can contain anchovies
* Dressings can contain anchovies
* Hot dogs, pizza toppings, bologna and ham can all contain Surimi
* Menhaden is a type of fish caught along the Atlantic coast. It is used in products such as vitamins, soap, lipstick, paint, insect spray, and waterproofing.
