That's a good outlook! Good start, but you don't want to feel too deprived. That RAW food book does sound good and RAW food is a really good way to start. For most people on SAD (Standard American Diet), a RAW food diet is enough to detox. You can segway to that for a while, and keep reading about health, then add in whole grains or fish or whatever works for you and if you decide, a moderate stance on the occasional favorite "treats". One thing to do as well is find "treat" that are non-traditional and healthy but good anyway. My cottage banana split comes to mind. Good luck and good health! :-)
