Hey, Mama!!!  I had 3 basal-cell carcinomas removed about 3 years ago, and, to THIS frigging day, one of the incision sites still itches and wee, little bumps pop up from time to time.  THEN, I heard an NPR report about Morgellon's Disease!!!!  Holy cow, that was skeery, but I'm certain that the incision site is just one of those weird healing thingies.

As for the bowel situation, I'm in agreement with Savagegrace - this is something that could be too dangerous to ignore.  And, I'm also in agreement that I hate suggesting a visit to a doctor.

What the heck IS a participle, anyway?  I also agree with the loose/lose thing - another one is when people write "then," rather than, "than."  i.e.:  I would rather have a bottle in front of me then a frontal labotomy.
