Mama Crow
I've had ten major abdominal surgeries using (reopening and reclosing) the same incision. (Starts three
inches above naval and goes all the way down to groin.)
The last surgery was to deliver my baby who is just shy of 15 months ... while in there they had to painstakingly slice away my intestines from my uterus (it had fused together) before they could get to her. They also had to cut through mesh screens that had been in place to help "support" my abdominal wall ... but during pregnancy the mesh "slipped" (?)
Anyway, I have been experiencing intense pain for a long while now ... combined with tenderness, burning bowels, days of constipation followed by days of diarrhea ... but have learned to push it aside. I also assumed the inconsistent bowels had something to do with my recent interest in the
Master-Cleanse and modified fasting.
Also, in spite of the mesh screens, I have developed another LARGE bulge along the incision. It is another incisional hernia. I feel it pulling, and burning as it the wall slowly unzips again. (Been there, done that ... twice.)
My concern now is the fact that the incision is starting to develop little bumps. They do not hurt ... but they sting and itch. Mind you, the last time this has been opened was over a year ago. Could this be an infection?
On top of this, last night I began searching the net for clues to what's going on and I found out about a lawsuit over the mesh screens.

Do you think there may be a connection with WHAT'S going on with me ... and the "defective" mesh?
I know I am facing another surgery someday ... but I really wanted to put it off. The discomfort is getting harder to deal with.
