Re: DAY 14 to eat or not to eat?
Yepper, detox happens on all levels and so if
you *use* food and that reality becomes glaring
when you see you are not hungry but as you detailed
perfectly, that comforting texture and sensation
of something in your mouth...must go back to
a time when a thumb tasted divine. I also had this
experience and was/am eternally grateful that I
found the determination and focus to do a longer
cleanse since it really helped me be honest and
face my relationships with food which did not serve
me well. I used to eat to numb and comfort the psychic
sensations. I would eat if someone else was having
a bad day...ggg. Two 30 days cleanses brought so
much into perspective and gave me time to examine
my triggers, sans food, and develop coping skills
which said YES to me.
If you decide to do a longer cleanse or even a short
one, if these are your issues, journaling is a good
idea. I did a blog which helped me process post-cleanse
too since often in the heat of the cleanse, I was in
survivor mode and if I had not taken notes, I may
have lost part of the lessons. I am a changed person
however, thanks to fasting.
In the end, you cannot control others, but you can
decide how you will act or react...and that my friend,
makes all the difference~!

Here is a post from Detour where you can find
a link to the movie "the Secret". I can highly
recommend it. It took me hours to download it
out here near the middle of nowhere with dial-up,
but it was still worth it and I think you might
find the message relative to where your head is
at...
