You know it's funny how we all wanna see something gross come out on the PC ;+D
Ro you know the routine "slow and gradual". Ya gatta stay focused and on track. My whole quest on cleansing and health started from going through a low point like you feel you are going through now. I went through a coupla knock out drag out kidney stone bouts. It wasn't just the pain I had to be hospitalized cause my whole system went into evecuation mode where even if I drank water I would vomit it back up. Then I went though my flesheating bacteria infection and since they couldn't identify the bacteria I had to stay on wide spectrum antibiotics for quite a long time. After all that I went though a really bad slump that I felt I was falling apart. Rivers that I use to paddle with gusto were beating the crap out of me half way through the run.
I started with a 10 day juice fast and that made a huge difference but it was short lived since I didn't follow up. It still took me a whole year and then is when I really got pissed and decided I was not having this sh!t no mo!!
I started another juice fast and while in the middle of that I found this forum and I instinctively knew this was for me and on day 5 of the juice fast I switched over thinking to do 2 weeks of the MC and I wound up doing 40 days!! After that point I was possesed ;+D I started going to the gym no less than 5 days a week sometimes I'd be so fired up I'd go 7 days. I ate a pristine diet absolutly no garbage whatsoever continued on with all the other cleanses, liver flushing every 4 weeks and took me 1 1/2 years and 18 LFs before I stopped passing stones. I was on top of the world. Once you get to that point you 'll feel invincible and you just can't see not feeling this good again. But alas that too wore off some and I gradually started slacking some after 3+ years of towing the line. It doesn't take a whole lot to come offa that peak. Just some key things particular to our own individual weakneses. For me it's flour products and sugar and for some weird reason or other I started eating more red meat than I have in the last 20 years. I blame it on the financial stress of a new business, well that's >my< "excuse" anyways ;+D
The big reminder of my fall back came this last October on a 4 days river trip. Even though it was rough being in the low 50Deg's and starting out in the rain with serious head winds. It flat ass beat the crap out of me and the first day I was barely able to set up camp eat dinner and then I went to bed and slept like 12 hrs straight. Ding ding ding ding!!! well I ain't having this sh!t again!!! ;+D So here I am back with a vegence kicking butt and taking names. Juan mo taim!! :+O
Sooo stay focused and the stricter you are with your diet and the harder you exercise the quicker you'll see results. Cut out flour, sugar and dairy altogether.yes none at all!! Crank up that juicer daily. Start taking no less than 2 tblsp a day of a good quality oil like Hemp or Udos.
It's hard to really get a good balance of nutrition for most of us with busy lives so in addition to eating real well get some quality "food based" supplements like a good green powder. Greens Plus is my fave. Do probiotics. I do Kefir others like Zoe like Primal Defense (expensive). There is a food based vitamin, mineral and protein shake powder by Nature's Plus called Source of Life that I like a lot. One shake a day of this stuff will just about cover most of your vitamin and mineral needs for the day. Remember all these thing I'm mentioning now are "supplements" I think of them as back up to really eating well. The daily juicing of fresh veggies and the oil will be your biggest allies on your road to getting your health groove on.
Some of the lastest things on the health consciousness circuit now are Cacao which is the actual nut they make chocolate from. The have found that it is a super complex food loaded with anti oxidants and something like 300 different components. Unfortunately when they cook it and add all the crap, sugar and dairy to make it into chocolate bars most of the goodness gets destroyed. What I do is I buy the raw cacao nibs and then grind them in my coffee mill and add it to my shakes. I absolutly love it and the crunchyness it adds to the shakes. Zoe likes Goji juice maybe she'll chime is and fill you in on it. The juice I found a bit expnsive but I did buy the dried Goji berries and have been having a handfull everyday. Between Tgiving and around March work for me is really scarse and I really have to watch my budget. These are the 2 new things that I'm trying out this time.
The other thing new to me is the oil pulling. I have been going at it 3 times a day for around 4 weeks now. Can't tell if it's doing much in the midst of all this cleansing I'm doing but it's hard to ignore all the testimonials on the OP forum so I'm going in Luke ;+D The definete noticeable improvement I see is that I used to get a little bleeding from my gums when I brushed and that stopped happening after the 3rd day of oil pulling.
So far I have tried Sesame which I love and I'm just finishing 16oz of coconut and that stuff is really a delight both in taste and texture. As much as I like the coconut it is way too different in composition to the other oils since it does not contain Esential Fatty Acids and doesn't stimulate bile production. While I'm sure it has it's benefits my instincts tell me that since it doesn't stimulate the liver to produce bile it prolly is not the best oil for "overall" detoxification.
So there all this should give something to think and research and perhaps do for a while. Just remember the strickter you are at first the quicker the results you'll see. Now just get pissed refused to take it anymore and kick some butt!!
