Be carefull!

Muscle loss will only occur if you over do it. I don't know your % of fat, yet fat has a lot of protein. The mc, when done as precribed, will melt fat and supply most that you need....HOWEVER- Most folks that are new or unfamiliar with the cleanse tend to overdo it and have not learned to read their body's signs. This situation WILL leave you flat if you are not carefull. The biggest risk is permanent damage to the organs ,especially the heart. By the sounds of it you may be a 5 or less and
you don't have the fat readily available. Just a guess.

If your workouts are that important to you, I don't suggest doing an mc longer than 10 days. If you in tune with your body and the amount of calories you burn then monitor yourself closely. A full strength McCoctail contains apx 106 calories.
I'm 6'3" and burn apx 110 calories playing cards for an hour...250 walking for a half an hour. Therefore you can see how easy it would be to over do it. The key is to suck up the lemonades religiously(I shoot for 10-12). Drink up!!! Lots of h2o,as Pepe said. I do think that if one has to down tablespoons of maple or blackstrap that is an OBVIOUS sign that they are overdoing it.

Until your body is cleansed you will be at risk. I have done 60 day fasts (not mc) and had more energy in the later stages due to a cleaner, more efficient metabolism.
'Change your oil and fluids' before doing a 'race'.

I highly advise to taper off for the first few cleanses as to asertain your body's ability to keep up with your rigorous routine.

It's only common sense. Why risk it? It's only 10 days.
