Re: SEEKING ADVICE - Abscess - Root Canal Advised

About 10 years ago I had a sensitive molar. Dentist x-rayed and there was an apparent pocket of infection at the root. I was scheduled for a root canal, but then was in the process of getting a cold, so the appointment was cancelled.
For the cold, I was taking large doses of Vitamin C. In a few days there was no sign of the cold, and the tooth was no longer sensitive. So I cancelled the sustitute appointment. Five years passed before the tooth again became sensitive.
New x-ray showed nothing unusual. This tooth did have a large filling, and I opted for a cap.
Just goes to show that the abcesses can be cured making root canal unneccessary.
Saves you a lot of money too.
