Re: The MC and Weight Loss FAQs
I am in the middle of my first cleanse... so I am no expert, but it does list that weight loss is basically a result...
If I see a result that I want, I normally would take the steps backwards from there, on how to accomplish that. That is how strategies are developed... there is strategic planning and then there is tactical planning. Most people aren't successful with weight loss because they use tactical planning instead of a strategy.
Let me explain. Most people that I am aware of, decide to diet, and so they hop on board the latest diet craze. Which fails them because they fail to plan strategically.
As a person who plans strategy for businesses, I can relate the correct way to approach healthy weight loss would be:
1. To find out what is causing the weight gain... normally this is unhealthy habits and poor diet, lack of exercise, etc. Also disease and illness.
2. Decide how to CHANGE... the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Which is why most diets fail. If this requires taking care of your chronic illnesses and poor health, say, through the MASTER CLEANSE, then that is a step in the right direction. Weight loss is NORMAL for being on the master cleanse, from what I have read. No one will deny that.
3. Take action. Do what you decide to do to change.
So if my goal is weight loss, and I read up on healthy living and decide that is what I want, to live healthy, and that is how I am going to approach my weight loss, then THAT IS WHAT
The Master Cleanse IS FOR ME --- A WEIGHT LOSS TOOL!!!!!
I get offended when I read Pepe's responses. Not because he/she is not knowledgeable, but he/she attacks almost everything that is written with a holier than thou attitude.
I feel no compassion in anythign that is written by Pepe. I am not perfect, many people on here are not perfect (except of course Pepe thinks he/she is... at least what is construed). There is not always white or black... right or wrong. There are all different degrees of everything.
If someone wants to use
The Master Cleanse as a way to reach their weight loss goals, KUDOS to them! Of course, that is just part of the strategy, like I tried to outline above... It should be used as a strategy, not as a tactic. If someone uses this as a tactic, then it is not the right thing and it will fail like Pepe has pointed out before.
I have zapped to my hearts content. I have switched to organic foods, I have detoxed and cleansed and liver flushed. I drink ozonated water and use my chi machine. However in October I got appendicitis and had emergency surgery. Since then I have been bloated and gained 13 pounds. This was not due to anything that I could control. I exercise regularly. I drink a lot of liquids, I have a lot of amazing sex, I meditate. I am normally very healthy. I used to have a yeast problem throughout my body (most people do) but finally got that under control too! I have more energy than I have ever had before... but I wanted to get rid of the weight I gained. So that is one reason why I did the master cleanse. That was part of my strategy. And it is working. My whole lifestyle is based around health. You won't see processed food at my house, you won't see
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) or Aspartame, or soda pop. So whenever I see Pepe criticizing me or anyone else about how in order to lose weight, you need to change your whole lifestyle, not count on the master cleanse, I cringe. I don't feel positive energy coming from Pepe. This is a positive forum, we are HELPING each other, we are supporting each other, not dragging people down.
I chose to lose weight. I am ok with my decision, and don't need the criticism. I am fine at the weight I am at now, I look great! after 4 days on the cleanse my tongue is not coated anymore and I feel no ill side effects. I had no chronic illnesses before the cleanse, so I don't feel bad if I stop a few days early, because my health is good.
However, I do also know if I do develop any disease or illness, that I will turn to the cleanse for as long as I need, for that health reason. That is good enough for me.
And Pepe, please, be friendlier. Your directness and lack of compassion probably scare a lot of people away. Everyone here knows you know everything about the master cleanse... maybe you mean well, but it doesn't come across that way to me. I am doing good in my life, and am a huge success. I love the way I am, I love my job, I am grateful for my health, and my family and all the blessings that I have. I want to visit and post at this site to ask questions that I may have, and to answer questions that I can... and to help others... in a friendly and nice way. I would like the same courtesy done to others. Please.
Thank you.
