In my memory it was something to do with the acids and the organic minerals reacting with the calcium hydroxide to cause an action that adds carbon to the inorganic minerals present, thereby making them far more absorbable than previously.

Isnt it a similar reaction that takes place in the roots of a plant? Along with the bacterial conversion of rock minerals? Does this also happen in our intestines?

It may be fine to say that the CH is bad in and of itself, but what, if when mixed in this solution, a basic reaction may occur to make it more available to us biologically?

Isnt calcium citrate simply calcium carbonate that has been reacted in some way, similarly to amino acid chelates?

The confusion continues!
