Good God. There are those that believe BSE arose from the practice of feeding beasts to themselves (in that cows/bulls were given feed containing the ground down carcases of their own kind).

A cow or bull would never, ever, eat one of its own kind. And nature doesn't clone. Heaven only knows what we will be seeing in twenty years time when cloned meat becomes the norm.
