yes, we are way beyond any genetic predisposition or long term effects on genetics. those things simply color the illness, not prevent it.

genetics is an interesting study, though. changes, even subtle ones, will be incorporated into the genetic reproductive material. they say it takes seven generations to fully correct and be rid of such influences. copulation and conception in broad daylight is supposed to effect the genes in a positive manner, but the exact mechanism was not mentioned. still fun to think about.
