Re: Has anyone else seen "An Inconvenient Truth"?

I pre-ordered this movie from amazon for about $16, and have been passing it around to anyone I know who wants to see it. I have promised to send it to my sister in the US after the holidays.

Gore gives detailed scientific information on how we are messing up the planet. He shows the same snowy mountaintops years ago and today - from all over the world; they are not very snowy anymore. He gives explanations as to why we are likely to see the world's ocean levels rise at least 20 feet in the near future. He shows what would happen to some parts of the world if/when this happens - florida, sanfransisco bay, manhattan, china, the netherlands, india - hundreds of millions of people's homes will litterally be under water. He also gives warning that these changes could be sudden, rather than gradual - as most people think they will be. He also talks about the increases in floods, droughts and storms - changing weather patterns in general. The only scientific critisicm I have heard of this movie is that Gore is too optimistic.
