That's EXACTLY what I thought.......that the reason doctors say they haven't heard of any problems with it is because I'm positive if they checked a lot of these women would have Depression and other symptoms but just NOT be putting two and two together. I know I didn't the first five years I had it in......I just put my weight gain, breast increase & sore with it 24/7, relationship breakup.....friendship problems.....social phobia....anxiety....oh did I mention weight gain??????
It was only when I had my 2nd Mirena put in this year that it suddenly dawned on me because all the problems came back after I had lost weight etc after removal. I found this site and all my prayers were answered and I demanded the coil be removed.....in fact I ended up in floods of tears in doctors surgery hysterical and saying it had made me a monster and I wanted it out.....they took it out that day.
Although recovery is slow with anxiety and tiredness.....all other symptoms GONE.....I have my life back.....I have my patience and emotions and compassion back.....and best of all my sex drive.
My advice to anybody reading this is do not get the Mirena IUD.....especially if you have ever suffered horrendous pms/period problems in past. Tweet
