Re: I think I found the answer!
Reading about the mirena on this forum was one of the reasons why I did not go for it when my gyn said that was an option to try to get rid of heavy periods.
But I have to say that just because something like the mirena got rid of your period but made you sick, makes the opposite of getting your period a great gift from god - at least for me. Why can't we not have our period and feel good? Or get a slight period and no pms. Or maybe only get it every six months. Is that too much to ask out of life. I have had heavy/irregular periods, oily skin, and pms since day 1. Never will I thank anybody for that. I felt great before I got the cycle, so it wasn't like I did something to give me those problems. If I could have hibernated through pms and my period I would have. That would be 17 days every month I would rather not even be conscious.
At least I am period free now. I got uterine ablation surgery. My gyn just burned the lining of my uterus. So for one year now I have not had much of a period. I might wear one liner for like 3 hours and that's it. Best thing that ever happened to me. If I could have done it at 20 years I would have. Babies wouldn't be an option. But why should I have to suffer 17 days every month for just the chance of having a baby. Isn't the 9 months women go through enough.
As for pms, nothing worked for me. I tried just about everything herbal and prescription. Every test said my hormones were great. Load of bull. My breasts would swell up so badly that I couldn't sleep on my stomach. The thing that worked for me was samento tao free. I don't know why but it has got rid of that problem/ less pms,and have improved my oily skin and hair. The oils were so bad in my early twenties that I couldn't even get any lather when I wanted to shampoo my hair!
So if god is responsible for those problems I lived with, than we're going to have a good talk if I ever see him.
