Hi Michelle, I hear that is normal. You go through cycles before you heal sometimes. Each time you think you're better, you go down again. Eventually the good patches apparently get longer and those bad ones get less.
You may have to gritt your teeth and bear it. So long as you're eating well, like proper proteins - meats, eggs, vegetables (no potatoes), and having good fats like butter, extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, etc, your body will be responding and probably trying to heal.
