Oh my God...what's so special about it??? Any of the old time posters know how ill I have been for many years ( about 15, but only knew about candida for 6 ). I used to sit at this machine for hours on end....searching for help and looking for answers. I asked Shelley so many questions no wonder she left this site- lol ( just kidding ).
I paid attention to what was helping some folks and took notice that a few had stumbled upon cultured foods. One man completely healed his candida imbalance jsut be eating lots of it...so I tried some myself. But the brand I used was not really helpful. It was one from my HFS ( when they used to carry a few kinds ) but I assume it wasn't really alive.
So I pushed it to the back of my mind and kept muddling along...very ill, mostly bed-bound for a few more years. I never forgot about cultured foods and tried eating goat yogurts and homemade kefir, but I am highly dairy intolerant and after a time they made my gut very inflamed and sore.
I decided to give the raw sauerkraut another shot the beginning of this year, because there was another poster on the Healthy Awareness
Candida Forum who was eating them and regaining his health. He no longer posts there because he has gone on with his life. But he had to keep strict to the diet and eat them every day... now he works long hours at his job with energy left over.
Oh gosh, NO... mine is NOT white and lifeless like some I have seen. It's green and stinky...very much ALIVE! :-) I may always have to continue eating it but oh well. It's helping to balance my inner ecology. And I am now able to exercise at a high intensity, which I believe is also helping tremendously.
