Re: Does anyone have high cortisol? Adrenal Maladaptation Syndrome?

Than you so much for all your information!! I am sorry I took some time before replying, I was feeling too sick to get on the computer.

I do feel that I have/am heading towards adrenal fatigue... but I have trouble convincing my husband that I should try alternative meds rather than going to the endo. I may have to do both.

Whats amazing is I have a lot of symptoms that you mentioned that you got when you overeacted to the thyroid meds - I have head ticks, I am so hypersensitive to light & sound (I get startled very easily), everytime I fall asleep I am jolted awake (I have'nt had a good nights sleep in days), also my heart rate goes up esp. in the night (I guess due to the elevated cortisol), I have also started getting panic attacks (this has to be the worst symptom) also I have weird aches & pains.

What did you do to overcome this? I have read Wilsons book but he generally addreses low cortisol and am worried about making my cortisol get higher by following some of his sugestions.
