1. Yes, it itches. I don't scratch that much during the day. But when asleep, I tend to scratch the side that is against the bed as it gets warm I think. Those are the worst as I'm usually not aware that I'm doing it until I'm more conscious.
2. I use highly diluted potassium permanganate to wash them once a day. I used to use an anti-bacterial cream that was yellow in colour (I forgot the name) but it seemed to cause the wounds to weep even more as they stayed moist due to the cream, so I stopped. >_<
3. Attempt to control? I'm afraid I'm not too sure what you mean. I use aqueous cream moisturiser, but it is tricky to apply to areas with wounds, so it's really limited application. And I stay out of the sun; I try to stay cool. If I perspire heavily or get hot, it can sometimes trigger rashes as well, usually on the face.
