Re: Lessons Learnt From a 15 Day Fast
I really appreciate you making the point that it takes
*time* to educate ones self and to facilitate these
changes. My head was really turned in 1997 and that was
when I slammed the door on allopathic doctors who seemed
to do little more than experiment on me. I decided to
cleanse and rebuild and work hard to get rid of all the
garbage in my body to then determine if that was contributing
to my problems and to find what really was *normal* for me.
It has been a *process* and there is no grand arrival but
more like a journey, sometimes an adventure, sometimes a
path to be silent and introspective, but always looking
forward to waking in the morning with gratitude that I have
the personal opportunity to be in control of my health choices.
So many seem to feel that a single cleanse, or even a series
of them will magically fix everything. Like you say, it took
you 10 years for your focus to become clear. I can second
that since I also have been hard at this effort for 9 years
now. I am excited though that there is still information to
find and use. My thrills this year have been discovering the
joys of sitz-bathing (thank you, MH) and I have fallen in
love with oil-pulling. Slowly, the self-education and application
makes major shifts and all this work rebuilds the foundation
for your health. Like anything, you need to keep it up and
so with time you do become the Master of your own healing
and good at *listening* to your body.
Thank you for your insights and willingness to share~~
blessings,
Zoe
