Re: My skin issues - please read - Contact Dermatitis, Rosacea, Eczema
I just went through a bad batch of eczema or in my case I'm learning it is Allergic Contact Dermatitus. I just went through the TRUE test also and found I had reactions to 7 of the categories. For me, I'm pretty must sure it was a change in detergent that set me off this time. I was using All free and clear, but one day the store was out, so we got Purex free and clear. There are ingredients in there that I believe was the thing that set me off. I have read that a change in detergents take a while to wash out of clothes, but it got quickly better after I changed back to All free and clear.
When I was on the Purex, I seemed to itch all over and I tried Hydrocotizone, Lanacaine, and other things to try to relieve the itch. They were only temporary and then it would get worse. I found out on the TRUE test that the cortizone was caused a reaction as well as some others.
So far, what I'm doing is to use Burts bees shampoo, toothpaste, all free and clear, and no dryer sheets. So far, it is helping me. I guess time will tell.
