glassman, Ann Wigmore did not die in a fire. She died from smoke inhalation caused from a fire. Rumor has it that she started the fire herself due to the fact that her wheatgrass healing clinic was on the verge of financial ruins and she had very little money to keep it going. Very few people went there to keep the doors open. Her health was giving out and she felt she would die any day. She was 85 years old and she felt that if she died, then her image as a health food image would be of no value. So she felt the next best thing would be to take her own life and lie in bed and die of smoke inhalation. She knew there was a fire. Her bedroom was on the main floor where she could easily walk out of the front door to safety. But she layed in her bed and died of smoke inhalation. If she didn't commit suicide through smoke inhalation, then she would die anyways from old age. And there is nothing amazing about an 85 year old woman dying. She wanted to live forever. But she was too sick to continue to live. So she committed suicide instead of dying naturally at age 85. That way people wouldn't think she died of old age. That is around the age people die. She didn't die in a fire. She committed suicide by smoke inhalation.
