Re:Bioidentical Hormones, Got me into trouble

I began using Zand natural progesterone cream a year ago because my periods were so irregular with horrible cramps. I can't take synthetic hormones, as I'm allergic to them. Zand DID work for me. Then the company stopped making it. When i called them to ask why, they simply said it was because the product wasn't selling.

I don't believe that, because I was buying their cream through 3 different major health food stores here in california, and they had so many women buying it, they couldn't keep it on the shelves. I had to start ordering mine...
So I must wonder if Zand picked up on something, regarding a link with health problems and natural progesterone, then decided to pull the plug on it.

I switched over to Pro-gest progesterone cream. About a couple of months later I began having nothing but yeast and bacterial vaginosis. Every month.
Vaginal burning, itching, pain, stabbing pain, pain on urination. Some days it's constant burning without letting up.
October I suffered a month straight of it. I'm still going, into November with it.
I've also had a UTI out of the deal.

I did discontinue the cream after talking to a naturopath about this in email.

I TRULY believe in my heart that using natural progesterone cream has caused me a serious hormone imbalance. I haven't been saliva tested but I'd bet my progesterone level is sky high, and that my estrogen is depleted because now I'm hot flashing. Yes, this stuff does collect in the fat stores and it can wreak some havoc. I tried Liver Flushes and was left sick as a dog. I recently researched and went on Colloidal Silver , and after a week of that my BV came back full force coupled with a UTI. My fever was so high and wouldn't drop i had to be hospitalized.
My system is so weakened and destabilized, I can't even handle the herx/die off from using the silver.
I don't even know what herbs to try using to bring me back into balance and heal my BV, but I'm going straight for plants and get info on how to change my foods. I've felt so sick i wonder if I'm going to wake up the next day.

The thing is, although Emerita that makes pro-gest, has been around since the late 70's, there hasn't been enough studies done, aside from Dr. Lee, to see the LONG term effects of using this product.

We as women who turn to this, are simply guinea pigs in one huge experiment.

I'm just sorry I ever participated :(
