Re: Bioidentical Hormonal Replacement

It is still not the best most natural route for sure. There is a few lists on Yahoo that is specifically about this and the tweaking and problems are really high, she may want to join a few and just listen to the posts. It is really in my opinion not the best route to go. There are many other more natural ways of dealing with the hormone issue. I am in my mid forties and had both ovaries removed when I was 24. I do not take HRT or BHRT. I did try BHRT last summer for a short few months and to my system it was a fiasco. I do well with none although my health practitioner put me on a Metagenic supplement to address this very issue after I took a health survey and she felt it would benefit me. I am very fit and look very young next to those of my age bracket so for anyone to suggest no hormones means aging rapidly that is hogwash. I would think your mom would benefit looking into and trying other remedies before trying this. The industry is making a lot of profit off of this coverage her book has gotten. The biggest misleading push is the natural progesterone creams which in my opinion are the absolute worst. Now this of course is just my experience/opinion and others out there may say different but I would think anyone who leads a pretty healthy lifestyle would immediately feel the ill effects of messing with the bodies chemistry the way this "bhrt" system does.
Good luck in helping your mom, your a great daughter to be helping her with all of this.
