Re: How to vegetarians on this site eat so much raw low fat food?
I fully agree that there is a lot of confusing information out there as to exactly what is good for the person, the body. There is probably no one correct answer and as we are all so different, every individual - "like the snowflakes in a blizzard!" - there cannot be on universal solution. In addition, each person or body or system reacts to the different therapies differently. What might work for one may not for another and reason for the multitude of miracle cures!!
However, and I have been reading lots and lots of posts, not many have really considered whether the digestive system has a part to play. Of course, it has!! We are what we eat and consequently have we first considered if you digestive system is healthy? Is it functioning properly and in a good state to receive, digest and most important the ability to absorb what we eat, never mind the kind and type of food.
I am sure irrespective of what we eat, meat or vegetarian, you will find that those who have problems are usually those who have digestive problems or one sort or another. The Medical Association of Britain reported that 95% of all chronic illnesses are the result of a digestive system that is not well.
Would the above sound sensible? If it does then, maybe we must first make sure we have a good healthy fully functional digestive system before debating what sort of food is best.
Take care
