Re: #58811!!
Hi #58811
Oxidative stress is a medical term for damage to the cells in your organs and tissue. It is defined as an imbalance between pro-oxidants and anti-oxidants, there are also many prescription medicines that cause free radical in your body. Remember I listed a few prescription medicines that can cause oxidative stress?
Free radicals damage many components of our cells: proteins, the genetic material in DNA, and the lipids
Oxidative stress is suspected to be a cause of neurodegenerative diseases including Lou Gehrig's disease, ALS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, cancer and certain cardiovascular disease. Whether this would include supraventricular taxicardia I do not know.
Antioxidants you can take to help prevent oxidative stress,
Grape Seed Extract and Pycnogenol are two of the most powerful antioxidants.
Pecans, walnuts and hazelnuts are ranked highest in the nut category of antooxidants.
You can find more good antioxidant foods here:

Does your son like grapes and pecans? These are great antioxidants, grape skins are a high antioxidant.

Here is some good reading on vitamin deficiency:

http://www.aafp.org/afp/20030301/979.html
Your doctor can order a vitamin deficiency blood test that will show the levels of all the vitamins in your body.
I have had this done and it was not expensive at all.
Try this more simple free test for yourself :

2 capsules of Gaba a day. I buy this at
http://www.vitacost.com/ because its the only place I found that sells it without mixing it with other things. I recommend Gaba for you too, because it is anti-aging and has a mild calming effect.
Just type the word Gaba in your search engine and read up on it.
2 capsules of L-tyrosine a day.
1 capsule of Folic Acid capsule a day.
1 capsule of Vitamin B-6 a day
Ground Flax seed is better than the oil, you can buy this at your Walmart grocery store.
Sprinkle as much flax seed as you want on your fruits or vegetables. I love the taste of it on chopped fruit, it taste yummy.
These supplements help the neurotransmitters in the brain, and supplies nutrients that helps repair peripheral nerve damage in the brain.
There is a product that combines more vitamin supplements in it. This product reduces and usually stops involuntary body movements in parkinson's symptoms and people with essential tremors. The dosage on it is 3 capsules 3 times a day. It is actually sold as an all natural supplement for body builders.
Its effect on parkinson's was discovered by accident a person with parkinson's taking it for its anti-aging. I am not promoting it but, the name of the product is andro-HGH. I started taking it also after my friends recommended it because it is anti-aging, tones muscles and raised their energy level.
The ingredients in it are L-Glutamine, L-Tyrosine, Gaba, L-Arginine, L-Lysine, Glycine, Tribulus Terestris and Gamma Oryzanol. You can google all the ingredients and see what you think.

You said you are a military family! Army, Marines or Navy?
My son is in the Navy on SEAL Team 2, which is stationed out of Virginia, and he is shipping out for afghanistan and iraq again :(
Since you are military you know the special warfare group assignments are always dangerous enough to give any parent constant worry every day.
charles <-- my real name :)
