Your name is just SOOOO important
Hi all. I've been reading some of these messages and I've realised that so many posters call themselves names like 'stinky' or 'poopman'. I call myself Fragrance for a very good reason - and this is psychological, emotional, whatever. The power of words is only just being realised - there's more to us than just physical bodies. Quite a few posters have cottoned onto the fact that anxiety and stress makes us smell bad, yet when we are relaxed and happy, we don't smell so much. I don't know if that applies to everyone, but I'd say a vast majority. Has anyone heard of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)? It involves tapping on the acupuncture points while focusing on and 'feeling' the anxiety, humiliation, whatever and saying something along the lines of 'even though I had this horrible smell, I deeply accept myself'. You can use your own terminology such as 'I love myself, I'm a great person' etc. Even if you don't believe it, just keep saying it. It works wonders. And keep doing it throughout the day and every day. Your whole outlook will change, hopefully. Because that is the crux... Our outlook on ourselves. It's a vicious cycle. We smell, we get bad feedback, we feel bad about ourselves, we call ourselves stinky, we want the earth to swallow us up......... This must change. We must start accepting ourselves, loving ourselves, realising what great people we really are, telling ourselves we are great. When we feel good about ourselves, so many things fall into place.
