Re: Question re Stones in the liver
Thank you all for your replies. I'm still unclear though. If the stones are in the ducts, are these ducts within the body of the liver (Andreas Moritz's book shows a simple drawn diagram of a network of bile ducts within the liver where stones are present)? Sorry to sound a bit stupid about this. I'm trying to understand this, still trying to find a useful link with a clear illustration of a dissected liver/ducts but no joy at present.
My doctor colleague had trained in india and west indies. She said that she had dissected several human livers but only saw black calcified gallstones in the gallbladder. Today as I asked her again about this. As she answered she then said that I was obsessed about this subject.....?!!?! What is it about doctors' attitudes towards people asking or being curious about their health and wellbeing who suddenly get told they are obesessed. Anyway, it seems suspect that she says she's trained as a doctor but chooses to work as a temporary secretary in a hospital that could probably employ her as a locum and pay her more.
Sorry to digress but she did annoy me with her comments today, just confirms my attitude towards these so called experts with blinkered vision and arrogant attitude.
I would appreciate a reply to the first paragraph. Thanks
M
