Re: How Would YOU (MC Veterans) Respond To This?
Having dealt with this issue more than a few times, I tell as few people as need be that I am fasting, and then those who have a hissy fit and *carry on*, I allow them to say whatever they feel comfortable with, since more often than not, it does come from concern, care, but also fear.
Then I calmly share with them how I feel, which has become one of my
Master-Cleanse mantras...
"I have done my own research, and am comfortable with my decision to do what I feel is right for me". Certainly the real proof for my friends and family is that I have not only survived the cleanses, but have thrived. My mobility which before was limited due to an injury to my knee, is back, and my energy was constant during the cleanse, and the couple of days I put myself to bed, I assured my friends, this is normal and it is appropriate for me to rest today. My eyes were bright and in the end, everyone is amazed that I stuck it out and either wish they could do it, or comment that they never could.
Certainly, I have not read in all my reading of someone dying from fasting using the Master Cleanse, which is a modified juice fast and so like Pepe said, has plenty of calories to sustain good body function during the cleanse. Thousands of people have passed this way before and I am just one more in a huge number of SUCCESS stories.
Thank them for their concern and then just go ahead and do it your way...ggg
I wish you both blessings on your healing path~~
be happy, be well,
Zoe
