I am crying for you too. We have been there, our last cat died last year, cancer of the jaw and the vet said he was in pain, so we did not want him to suffer, also our favorite one. We have had 6 cats during our marriage. Only selfish people would not have done what you did, you thought of her first.
I am so glad you went to another vet. Take good care of all your other babies.
