just my opinion, don't mean to butt in too much, but one of the reasons George knew what was coming may have been due to him being an accepted member of the society who planned what is coming... an insider of sorts, just like A. Huxley and the brave new world.... maybe I'm wrongfully associating Orwell with the same crowds of elite that Huxley was connected to, if so I apologize.... but some of the people long hailed as being great literay visionaries, which they may have been in part, were also insiders providing a literary portrayal of someobdy else's blueprints; just in the spelling, there is only a little difference between "insightful" and "insider", but the difference in reality is significant.
