Re: THANK YOU!! I've been wracking my braim for months to remember the name of this chemical...
hmmmm, this is either syncronicity, or, for the reality phobes in the house, just a coincidence ;) Anyway, I've recently been availing myself to the Internet Archive AKA Wayback Machine.
http://www.archive.org/index.php
I've been generally aware of the existance of this ...... tool (or call it what you will) for several years but never used it much before. Now that I have been tryign to use it......so many questions I could ask, like "who pays for all the storage space?"...... and "why does who pay for all the storage space?".... and "who pays the the salary for all the low-level minions to spend late nights in front of a computer carving out, editing, massaging, and or deleting & destroying select portions of the arvhive that somebody somewhere does not want there to be a lasting record of?".... you get the idea.
One very evident and annoying aspect I've come to discover about this archival system. I've been using it to search for documents and resources of web sites that have since become defunct, shut down or in some way run out of business by big brother..... sites that attempted to reveal some of the criminal aspects of how big brother operate, like the combined IRS/DoJ/DoTreas cabal, or the medical cabals, or the cabal controlling our universities, and banks, and media.... what some might loosley or mindlessly lump into NWO "conspiracy sites", you get the idea. In some cases I'm finding that some evidence can be found of these former web sites, but at the same time, I'm also finding that what appears to be at least some of their former and original documents still being available through the archive, has in many cases been hollowed out a bit, so to speak. In other words, I'm finding that yes, Wayback can be used to find information from old/defunct sites, bit it's interesting to me to find how some of the choicest, juiciest documents and bits of information have conveniently been renderd "archive unable to access".... or "path to archived document has been removed or corrupted"... or, you get the idea. This of course leads me to ask "who's to say what the actual genuinity is or isn't for this so-called archived internet information?"..... so many questions, so little time.
This is like another "brick in the wall" so to speak when I thinkg about big brother..... he sure does seem to have an awful lot of time on his hands to be continually snuffing out more and more history. I think the really disconcerting aspect to this is, if it weren't for all the people from the masses who are being snookered into being a cog of big brother - be it knowingly and or unwittingly, big brother would not be very big or scarey at all. :(
PS and caveat: my opinons about Wayback are just that - my opinions based largely upon recent experience. Who knows? In some cases it may serve as a usefull and genuinely beneficial tool for various people.... just thought it worth pointing out that Wayback is yet another potential source of information that one must continually keep in the back of their mind the thought to carefully take with at least one healthy grain of salt.
