Interestingly though that the FDA found levels of Perchlorate many times higher in the veggies {plants are accumulators - this is how fertilizer works} than the background level irigation water...the FDA did not find Perchlorate in the Drinking Water tests. Is this because Industry paid for the tests? Did they test municipal drinking water? Or is it dur to the fact that much irrigation is not potable and the farmers pre-mix many chemicals to the water (herbicide, fertilizer, etc) for irrigation that maybe the Perchlorate is a by-product of interactions?
