I would strongly advise that if you chelate to go on a more natural route.
Oral chelation by extreme health is a fantastic product that pulls heavy metals with natural components while providing the right nutrition. I have actually used it at minimum dose and had to stop because it was so effective. I will try to restart it again but need to make sure the elimination routes are open.

A one time dose DMSA for testing purposes may not impose too much burden on you (dependent on dose and your metal levels), however DMSA may be too aggressive pulling metals out faster than what your elimination organs can handle if taken for extended periods of time (as typical chelation protocol suggests). There may be other synergistic products with lower dmsa levels that may be better options compared to straight DMSA.

It goes without saying that you should not begin chelation until you remove ALL heavy metal sources from the body, and that is wise to be under care of a naturopath or someone with knowledge on chelation.
