Thank you Kelley for your advise--it is very very interesting that you suggested a complex carb like oatmeal. I find that when I eat a bowl of cereal, or have some crackers, or other carb, before bed, I do not wake up in the middle of the night. If I don't eat a snack before bed, then I wake up around 3 AM and cannot go back to sleep. Now how do you figure that? Does this mean that when I don't eat a bedtime snack, that my blood sugar level wreaks havoc with my sleep pattern? This is very interesting.
