My dog was attacked by a Possum, what to do?

Hi,

A few days ago my dog was attacked by a very large possum, she is 39lbs, shepard mix, the possum was twice her size. It took a chunck of hair off her chest, and left claw marks on her tummy that are now turning into oozing sores. I had just started her on the parsley water to parasite cleanse her, now this happens. She is up on all her shots, and the animal control unit is to bring a trap to catch it soon. My question is what else can I treat her with, I just read about using the collidal silver, I will try it on her wounds. But I also just read about the garlic and I am wondering if that might be a good thing for her also. She is 13yrs old, but very youthful for her age. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
