Re: Natural way to rid dog of fleas?
Hello, I currently have a cat and have had dogs all of my life. My family has been using a natural way to keep the fleas out for years (almost 20 years) and we have never had a flea problem.
I agree with the other posting as far as cleaning your house well, that will help, but here are a few other suggestions.
My family has always purchased many natural and organic products and the stuff we have for ourselves works very well for our pets.
First, put medicinal grade melaleuca oil (T36-C5) on your fingers and dab it behind the ears, under the chin and at the base of the tail. There is also a spray you can make combining 3 products (sol-u-mel, tough & tender and T36-C5 melaleuca oil) that you can spray on their coat to repell fleas. Sol-u-mel will also kill fleas in your yard when sprayed there and on your carpet and furniture. Sol-u-mel is made with natural ingredients and has no harmful chemicals...you can drink it and nothing will happen....it is actually good for a sore throat. All of these products are VERY affordable and can be purchased online. The cleaners cost less than stuff you buy at Wal-Mart. The melaleuca oil is affordable as well and has a million uses.
If you would like more information about the company I purchase these things from, please let me know through email and I will send you the website and additional info.
Good Luck!
