Well I think there is a case to say that the Mirena causes mood swings, headaches and nausea, by reading the various posts here about it. Your friend definitely had one of the worst reactions to this IUD that I have ever heard of.
If a family planning clinic was told of her symptoms and removed the Mirena, then they should have documented evidence of this, and now she needs to go back to her doctor and talk to them (or the family planning clinic) about the fact that her symptoms have gone and her condition improved. This would help her case against her Ex. She needs to go back to her doctor and discuss the case against her and ask him/her to provide statements to assure the court (if that is where its doing) that her ADD medication didnt not cause this behaviour/symptoms.
I hope that she doesnt lose her kids over this, and I wish her all the luck in the world with her fight.
