Parasites in brain, not common in Middle Eastern Countries

I know a well known brain surgeon who currently practices in Istanbul. I emailed him about whether he ever saw any parasites in the brains he has been operating during his career. He said NO! To me, his response justifies that it is exremely rare to have parasite infections (especially in the brain) in middle eastern countries due to the special diets that these people follow: Halal diet (Muslims), and Kosher diet (Jews).

(If you read about different parasites, the book will also mention that it is rare to have Tapeworm infections in middle eastern countries)

Anyway, I just wanted to pass this information to you.
